§ — Privacy
What we know about you.
Plain language. No dark patterns. We comply with the GDPR and the Swiss nDSG.
What we collect
- The YouTube URLs you analyze. These are public videos and we cache the resulting analysis JSON keyed by video ID — anyone visiting the same URL gets the cached version.
- A one-way hash of your IP + user agent + video ID, used only to deduplicate votes. We cannot reverse this hash to identify you.
- Aggregate vote counts (no individual votes are stored alongside identifying data).
- Stripe-handled donation records, when you donate. Stripe is our processor.
What we don't collect
- Your email, unless you donate (Stripe handles it).
- Your name, unless you put it in a donation message.
- Cross-site identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprinting data.
- Any tracking cookies. Plausible analytics is cookieless.
How long we keep it
- Analysis JSON: indefinitely — that's the cache.
- Vote dedup hashes: 12 months.
- Stripe records: as required by Swiss law.
- Server logs: 30 days.
