The case is decided
It wasTrent Horn.
Trent Horn won because he gave the clearer case that the Book of Mormon is a human book. He pointed to missing New World archaeology, animals and technologies that did not exist there, and passages copied from the New Testament that its ancient authors could not have known. Jacob Hansen made strong points about old-world place names, literary patterns, and many witnesses, but he did not fully answer those problems, especially the lack of evidence for the book's American history and the difficulty of fitting the text on the plates. Trent also raised enough doubts about the witnesses' visions and Joseph Smith's honesty that Jacob's affirmative case fell short.
