Orthodox Muslim won because he got Cam Higby to admit that a girl can be pubescent before menarche, which badly weakened Cam's main claim that Quran 65:4 necessarily means child marriage. Cam then kept changing direction and refused to answer when Orthodox Muslim turned the same standard back on Christian and Catholic teaching, including Thomas Aquinas. Cam did bring up the Aisha reports and Quran verses, but he muddled his own definition of a child and never answered the counterargument. Orthodox Muslim also cited Islamic jurists and the four schools to argue that marriageability was tied to physical capability, not simply age or menarche.
