TRINITY DEBATE : Andrew Harrison Vs Jacob Hansen (FULL DEBATE)
The case is decided
It wasJacob Hansen.
Andrew Harrison made the stronger case for the motion. He defined “same substance” as sharing the one uncreated divine essence, supported it from John and Paul, and cited early Christian writers to argue this belief did not begin at Nicaea. Jacob Hansen raised sharp problems about Jesus’s distinct will, knowledge, and resurrected body, but he often shifted among “God,” “Godhead,” and “nature,” admitted the Old Testament is unclear about which divine person acts, and never showed when the alleged apostasy actually replaced the apostles’ teaching. Andrew also got Jacob to allow a shared divine nature, which weakened Jacob’s denial that the Father and Son are of the same substance.
